Drafting & 3D  Modeling

stoney creek bridge copy.jpg

I'm building this model first in N scale, then in others if there is demand. It will be made full size in N scale with a span of 336' and a height of 109'  as I feel some N scales can fit this large a model into their empires. This model will be built with the printers finished parts as secondary casting seems to complex, this also means that customization to fit an individual customers needs can be done. The model will not be available as a kit as I expect there will be over 600 individual parts from the printer.

I Can't show the whole modeled bridge yet as I have a limit of 10,000 objects in the file and there is over 30,000 in the bridge. As I compress the components for the FDM builds I will model the complete bridge. Figs 1 thru 6 in the slide show below.

FDM build parts    these are the outside upper arch top and bottom components

These shots show the upper and lower truss members of 1 arch, a second build does the bracing between them. Figs 7 and 8
